Who I am.

Shanti Topzand, she/her, is a BFA Candidate in Dance at California State University, Long Beach. Shanti grew up in San Diego, California, and at a young age discovered an ever-longing desire to pursue dance. She has had the privilege of performing in several pieces at CSULB dance including works by Danzel Thompson Stout, Sierra Tanji, Katie Summers, Baylee Ferrerra, and Keith Johnson. Shanti is trained in various techniques; modern, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and others. At CSULB she's had the privilege of working with faculty such as Rebecca Lemme, Keith Johnson, Steven Sophia, and many more.  Shanti had the opportunity to show her choreography At CSULB in their spring 2024 Contemporary Festival. Outside of CSULB, she had the opportunity to train under Jacob Jonas Selene & Isidro Irehi, and with the Troupe Dance Company. Shanti enjoys photography and film outside of dance, as she would like to someday incorporate dance into these two subjects. Shanti wants to have a long career connecting with all types of dancers of all genres, bringing her knowledge and identity as a dancer into her future work.
